Week 99 (Y'all talking about something interesting?)
We had a good week here in Spain! A little bit ago we had to kind of start over with our teaching pool so we've been on the find grind and it's actually been really good, we'll continue to find more people and continue to teach! This week we got to meet and teach our friend Antonio. It's cool to see how the gospel can light up the lives of those around us. He has lots of challenges and is looking for peace in his life. He was able to feel the spirit in our lesson and even came with us to see a baptism, so it was very special.
You guessed it, I have another street story for all of you. We were teaching the restoration to a nice lady and her mother on a bench when this random dude walks over to us and asks, "Are y'all talking about something interesting?!?" My first initial thought was, "uh oh, this dude wants to bash with us in front of these poor people." But I just smiled and said, "Yes of course, something that will change your life, do you want to hear?" We did a quick restoration in 2 minutes and then this dude starts talking about viruses and Anti-Christs and how the government is going to put a chip in us to burn the world down. Then the women and him just start going at it and my companion and I are just like oh dear. We then kind of cut them off and testified of the Book of Mormon and invited them to learn more. The lady said yes, the random dude with the.... interesting ideas then promptly left. Anyway, fun stuff.
Pensamiento Espiritual:
I'm going through some older conference talks and I love Elder Holland's "An High Priest of Good Things to Come”. It's beautiful, you should all go listen to it. There are many good quotes and a wonderful story at the end. But I wanted to share this one. "My declaration is that this is precisely what the gospel of Jesus Christ offers us, especially in times of need. There is help. There is happiness. There really is light at the end of the tunnel." As we look to Christ we will have that joy, that peace, and that hope we need.
Os quiero!
