Week 97 (It's always more beautiful after the storm)

That it's always more beautiful after the storm. It was a good reminder of that this week. After a decently difficult weekend this past week we were looking to get out there and have a good rebound week and get things going. The first two days of this past week were toughhh. I just mean that it was all day trying to find and only finding rejection. But it all worked out ok in the end! We tried to keep our head up and do the best we could. After those tough days and a little extra prayer we started to see miracles, like way above the normal amount of miracles and it was so so amazing to see and be a part of that. From random encounters with people that we've taught in the past to meeting some awesome people with lots of potential, to just the little things, it was very humbling to be a part of.

One of these examples is when we were traveling to an area to contact. We jumped on the metro and started some contacts. I made eye contact with this woman and her daughter and they both just lit up with recognition and waved me over. At first I didn't recognize them at all, but then she helped me remember. She was someone I had met and brought to church almost a year ago when I was serving in Badalona, the complete opposite side of Barcelona. So that was a very cool moment, we had to leave but I invited her to go back to church and listen to the missionaries again. But just cool to see the small impact you can make on people and how it's actually something that lasts.

Pensamiento Espiritual:

Something that I've come to love especially during the mission has been the sacrament and Sunday in general. I'm nearing the end of the Book of Mormon and Moroni is writing some last little things that are important. He takes a couple of chapters and talks about the Sacrament and the meetings that we do every week. He says, "5 And the church did meet together oft, to fast and to pray, and to speak one with another concerning the welfare of their souls. 6 And they did meet together oft to partake of bread and wine, in remembrance of the Lord Jesus."
And then later he finishes by saying, "And their meetings were conducted by the church after the manner of the workings of the Spirit, and by the power of the Holy Ghost; for as the power of the Holy Ghost led them whether to preach, or to exhort, or to pray, or to supplicate, or to sing, even so it was done."
So while at church have that focus, try to help one another, take advantage of the Sacrament and pay attention to the spirit. It'll make all the difference.
