Week 82 (The Triple Double)

Image
Okay now that the weeks are just flying by I'll try to give you all a quick little update about what is up with the work. So as missionaries we have things called "key indicators" it's basically just how we make goals and how we can measure kinda how we work. Anyway, they're really useful. But we have about 6 friends who are all progressing towards baptism, they've all told us that baptism is their goal and so we're gonna help them get there! It's pretty awesome! If you want a prayer list this is a good start: Jaider and Yuri, Jesus, Delia, Angel, and Lazara. They're all super awesome and it's been amazing to see their progress.  The Triple Double: basically means that we had 10 or more people in 3 of the key indicators, people "found", lessons with members, and people at church! Yeah so we had 10 people at church with us this past week and it was sweet! It was a little hectic getting them to their places and getting members with th...

Week 81 (Back to back)

Howdy  How yall doing?!?! Valencia is still awesome and the work is going forward as always. We had an awesome week with multiple exchanges, lots of lessons, and lots of work. Like I said, this transfer is awesome. We set a baptismal date with our friend Lazara! She's from Cuba and is super spiritual, we're pretty excited about it all!  Back to back: this week we had back to back intercambios so we worked with 3 different comps in 3 days so that was pretty awesome stuff in the two intercambios. Another fun bonus of street contacting is getting to know cool people and hear cool names. Here's a list of some of the coolest names we've heard in Valencia. - Natividad  - Joy  - Spanish guy named Richard  - Akim Bigdady and his wife Divine Bigdady  - ndufisjsg (I had no idea what this person's name was, it was wack)  - Mbob  Pensamiento Espiritual:  This thought is all about knowledge and how important it is for us to have it. King Benjamin i...

Week 80 (Crazy town)

So basically I don't have any time to write an email. Bullet points!  - We has MLC and so we went to Barcelona  - Had exchanges in Barcelona for a night so we stayed an extra day - Had zone conference the day after and we got to present a sideshow and guide 2 practice things. Pretty fun  - We worked hard and had a good turn out at church and the work is moving forward.  - Went to the oceanografic today  Pensamiento Espiritual: James 3  James 3:5 "Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!" This chapter goes on to explain that what we say is really important and we should be mindful of what we say.  "Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be."  Os quiero!  Pics:

Week 79 (Starting off the New Year)

Holaaaa  Another week has come and gone and we're feeling pretty good. Valencia is going crazy and we're all feeling the fire of the work so it's been a blast. We've been able to find lots of people and have seen lots of progress with some of our friends. Jaider and Yuri are working to get married and being able to share the plan of salvation with them has been so so cool. This transfer is gonna be awesome.  Member meals: Welp we've had a TON of member meals recently with the holidays and with other things and it's been the coolest best thing ever. Butttttt one day, we were in the middle of a lunch with a Sister in our ward and we got a call. The food coordinator person then told us that we had TWO lunches that day because of a scheduling thing and so we had to put on a performance of a lifetime and get that sucker done. But we did it no problem ajaja. But the lunches with the members are so so awesome and you can always feel the spirit and learn so much from th...

Week 77-78 (Feliz Navidad y Año)

Pido disculpas por no haber enviado un correo la semana pasada, fue una locura. Sorry for not sending an email last week. It's been crazy! We had some pretty eventful weeks. We did a service and sang some Christmas hymns in a fancy hotel, had Christmas, New Years, transfers, and all this craziness so it's been a lot. But a lot of good things so it's been hype.  First off, for transfers I stayed in Valencia and I'm now working with Elder Stepan, he's an amazing missionary so I'm hyped for this transfer. Also, we had New Years and we ate grapes. It's a tradition here that you have to eat 12 grapes with the chimes of the new year. We had a mission call and it was awesome! They invited some of the missionaries that had served in 2023 in the call and so we had a cool reunion with all of them.  Rip our piso: Something not as amazing that happened is that all 4 of us in the piso had food poisoning the day of Christmas. We ate at a members houseand maybe all the sea...
