Brock Jolley Spain Barcelona Mission 2022-2024

Hola que tal mis amigos!! We had a zone Pday today so lo siento mucho I have zero time to write. But we had a good successful week of working and trying to help and be with the members. We had two big ward and stake activities and that was so fun, I'll see if I have any pictures, we did a ward dinner and we had lots of friends there! We also had a stake choir competition and it had such good Christmas vibes. Very very fun. Don't worry we still got to work though and we're really excited to see how our friends progress this week.  I guess my funny story would be that this week I had to explain to multiple people that missionaries are not allowed to dance with other people even at Christmas (mostly friends) and getting to get hype with the Bishop in the choir concert. We also got to perform for the stake and all the missionaries in the zone sang a hymn for the competition. It was so cool.   Madre mía queridos amigos míos ha sido una semana maravillosa pero a la vez una locura!! So this week was wild as usual, but it was a little more wild than usual. Elder LeDuc and I got to work and we had exchanges, zone conference, MLC, and a ton of trips going back and forth so it was pretty wild. First of all we had Elder Alliud with us and we were hit with some spiritual facts, it's insane how much confidence, love, and support he showed us. It would be so cool to have the same kind of presence jajaja. Anyway, while it was all wonderful and I tried to take it all in, I couldn't help but feel like we didn't have too much time in our area. But with the help of the Lord we were blessed with the time in our area to make sure that the work progressed. Pretty awesome.   This week while trying to drive back to Valencia, we needed to stop for gas, we had to find a repsol, and the maps guided us in a big circle for half an hour before we found out that station was closed . Muy buenas, things have been going good down here in Valencia! We had 3 exchanges this past week, one of them, we went down to Gandía for the day. It was so so awesome. I started my mission in Gandía over a year ago and so going back was one of the highlights for me. It felt amazing to be back and see some old friends, teach some people, and just take it all in. Later in the week we had an exchange and I got to work with Elder Poppitti! He and I were companions in Gandía exactly a year ago so that was amazing too. It was really cool for me this week to be back. It made me do some reflecting and realize how far I've come. Of course I have a long way to go, I have a lot to learn and a lot to do. But it did make the mission feel a little surreal. But still an amazing feeling and amazing experience this week. Other than that, we're seeing lots of our friends progress and it's been really cool!
