Week 47 (The missionaries vs Metro Security)

Image
Que semanaaa okey, muchas han pasado pero no puedo explicar todo!! Okay so we had another great  week  here in Badalona and it's been an absolute blast. I don't actually have any transfer news yet, we'll find out this Thursday and we'll be on the move this Friday. I've had a decent amount of change in the mission recently and I'm hoping I can stay in Badalona this transfer. I've had 5 areas and 9 companions since March. Which has been absolutely amazing and I've learned and grown so much, but it'd be nice to have some time in  one  area and really get to know the people. But of course I wouldn't change a thing. It's been the biggest blessing with everything I've learned and experienced!! Elder Baum and I kinda got in this area when it was a bit of a hard spot. But we're working hard and seeing miracles happen! We have a whole family from Nigeria progressing, lots of cool friends and a humble area that's ready to learn. Oh, also, I...

Week 46

Mi genteeeee!! Que tal! Cómo estáis? Yet another successful  week  in the books over here. Okay so I was in a trio this past  week  but we got news that  one  of my comps had to leave for an emergency transfer so we're back down to a normal companionship. The theme of the only constant thing is change prevails! I'm getting to know my area better and it's been pretty awesome!! Elder Baum is an animal, I've been really blessed with the companions I've been able to have. I've learned from all of them sooo much! We met a ton of new people this  week  so we'll see who's looking to progress and go from there. Anyway, we are getting down to the last little  week  in the transfer and I've already come to love Badalona so much, it's so amazing. The people are humble and we have a blast while getting work done!  Something pretty cool that happened this  week  was a family that we found and taught. They're all from Nigeria but all sp...

Week 45 (Elder Jolley vs. Metro Door)

Que tal todos! Cómo estáis? This  week  was pretty wild! Recently the only constant in my mission has been change, but it's actually been pretty fun. We received a new missionary this past  week  in our apartment so I've changed areas and changed comps. So yeah, I've had 7 companions in the past 2 months. I've loved them all though. So this  week  I've been trying to get to know the new area and hit the ground running. It's been a blast, but I am exhausted. But we've had a more relaxing pday today and I'm ready to work hard this  week . I'm excited to see how much we can see our area grow. It has a ton of potential.  Okay, so in the Barcelona area the metro transportation is pretty good! It's what we use every single day to get places and when you're contacting the people, they can't run away ajaja. Anyway, they have these scanners to let you in. We were running to district council so I scanned my ticket and went to walk through the gate ...

Week 44 (Distract to switch the plate)

Buenasss! Cómo estáis? We had yet another fantastic  week  here in Badalona! We have lots of friends who are progressing and we truly are seeing miracles here in Spain!  One  of our favorite things to do is go out and teach in parks, it's surprising how many people are willing to listen and end up being interested I'll be honest. It has been so cool to see and be a part of. It's also cool how open people end up being with their struggles to us. It's also kinda sad when they don't want to accept Christ or his gospel though because you can see how easily the gospel and principles can help them, but they just don't want to know jaja. But it's all good! We just give them the opportunity to choose.  Okay soooo ehhhhhhh some cool things happened this  week ! From lots of park lessons, drunk guys in the street, exchanges with Elder Pickle and more. But probably the funniest thing happened at a member meal when Elder Simmons couldn't finish his plate of food so ...

Week 43 (José Luis e Florencio!)

Buenos días mis queridos!! Espero que hayan tenido una buena semana como siempre! This  week  was full of miracles and full of tons of opportunities to grow. We had interviews and zone conference this  week  and they were both absolutely amazing!! We learned a lot in our zone conference about being better teachers and it was so cool. Something that I love about the mission is that we're basically always out of our comfort zone, we're always growing and trying to get better everyday, it's pretty awesome! Anyway, a huge miracle and amazing thing that happened this  week  is that José Luis got baptized!! He is so amazing and it's even better because in 3  week s if all goes well he'll be baptizing his son Juanjo, so please pray for José Luis and Juanjo! This past Sunday I gave a 20 minute talk about ministering so that was pretty cool! But yeah, anyway, we had an awesome  week !  Madre míaaaaa: Okay so now since we've had the baptism of José Lui...
