Week 25 (Feliz Navidad! Bon Nadal! Merry Christmas!) (The Tale of the Wild Goose Chase)

Image
Hola buenasss a mis queridos amigos y familiares! First of all... MERRY CHRISTMAS!! I LOVE YOU GUYS!! Even with all of the Christmas lights everywhere in the street it still somehow snuck up on me jaja. It's wild to me that Christmas has already come and gone and New Years is just around the corner. My  week  was good and we've been able to see miracles in the work while we've been here!! Christmas Eve we had the nicest member share a meal with us and it was the nicest thing ever. We were also able to contact a whole family that had been living in Vic for 3 years looking for missionaries so I'll keep you updated with how that goes! We also had intercambios (exchanges) this  week end so we actually got to spend Christmas Day with Elder Brough and Elder Murillo so that was hypeeee!! We made sure to make yesterday a little special and have a Christmas dinner after our mission wide zoom call and we made some pretty bomb potatoes. (Pic below)  Funny story this  week ...

Week 24

Holaa buenasss!! Espero que hayan tenido una buena semana! I hope this  week  finds you all well. My  week  was insane! Let's dive in.  So this  week  we had transfers and it was great. I got to pick up my new companion Elder Dätwyler!! He's so awesome! He was born and raised in Switzerland, his mom is Italian and so he grew up with French, Italian, English, German, and Swiss German in his home. His Spanish is basically already as good as mine. We get along great and I'm showing him the reins of the mission and it's been so cool to see and do. He's so ready, willing, and has great ideas that we can use. This has been a huge blessing for me! We're working hard and trying to get to know our friends here in Vic, Spain. We met a new friend named Dídac and he's so willing to learn and just ready for the gospel. We taught him the restoration and gave him a Book of Mormon. He came to church the next day and he loved it! He said that he felt so much peace...

Week 23!! (Bring it on) (Emperors New Groove)

Bienvenidos otra vez a mis correos electrónico! Hey everybody!!  Hope you guys all had a great week and everything is going well. I had an awesome week and I can't wait to tell you guys all about it.  So David is definitely gonna be getting baptized which is so awesome. His pure desire to come closer to Christ is really awesome! We moved the date to December 30th, just to get him a little more ready and so all the ward could be there. We had an awesome stake activity where all the wards sang Christmas songs and it was awesome!! The missionaries got to sing their own song too so that was hype. I got a shout out from the Crowd because the ward in Gandia is just awesome. It was an awesome way to kinda go out with a bang down here jaja!! And that brings me to my next point.... I have transfer news!! I'm leaving Gandia and heading to a pueblo called Vic! It's north of Barcelona and actually pretty close to France!! My comp is gonna be.... Elder.... I have no idea yet!! And that...

Week 22!! (Somebody broke that... but I'm gonna fix it!) (Like from Kung Fu Panda)

Hola queridos familia y amigos!! Hope you all had an awesome week!! My week was awesome! It went by insanely fast and at the same time so much happened so I hope I can do this week justice in my email cause it was sweet! We have a couple new friends and met some awesome people this week. We're cracking down on our street contacting and visiting people in our ward. Our records say there's at least 450 people in our ward and at least 250 in the centro de Gandia. I have made it a goal to visit every single one of the names that we can. (Meaning the 250 here, the others are just too far away to walk to.) (Story about our bikes will follow) But anyway, visiting these people is a good productive excuse to be outside talking to people. Believe it or not you get to know the people and the culture well by talking to the people. We talked to this couple and they weren't interested in our message but they gave us croissants! People in Spain are so so nice, I just need to figure out ho...
