Week 8?! (Singing in the rain)

Image
Hola mis amigos! Bienvenidos to this week's email where I think it's week 8 but I'm not totally sure. This week was so awesome and I'm still having tons of first time experiences!  Okay so a quick little update for the whole week, spanish is coming along poco a poco and it's getting better. Patience is a virtue, and I'm getting tons of practice! I'm participating more in lessons and getting better at constructing my thoughts in Spanish.  Okay now for the good entertaining and spiritual stuff!  Fun Stories:  Okay so last pday I was talking with my family and I was absolutely flaunting over the fact that my bike in Spain was better than my sister's bike in Suriname. (My bike has a basket in the front so it's cool) I think Heavenly Father decided that I needed to be humbled about the pride in my bike cause the VERY NEXT DAY the wackiest thing happened. We just finished up a lesson with our friend Humberto and it was time to bike home, it was about 9:30 ...

Dos semanas en España! Pretty crazy to think about! This week flew by and I'm grateful I get to share a bit about it with all of you. Also, in effort to make my emails interesting I've been trying to add a theme kind of thing in the title of my email. I'll explain the reason for all of my themes in the email don't worry :) But wow! What a roller coaster of a week! I've seen so many miracles and learned so much! Last Tuesday we had cambios with the district leader and his comp! It was funny cause Elder Murillo and Elder Losano, (the DL) went on an exchange and left me and Elder Ford, who is awesome, to teach and contact together. This was so cool cause between the two of us we had less than 8 weeks of experience in the field. So the spirit directed most of what we did and it went really well! So that was a major miracle and blessing that happened this week. I've been trying to get to know everyone in the ward and talk more, everyone is so friendly and will help m...

Mi gente! Bienvenidos to this special edition  email!! It's special cause I'm in Spain! That's right, I've finally made it! And although I loved the MTC and had the best district ever it was time to go. I flew out of Utah tuesday morning and landed in Spain at 8:30 in the morning, needless to say it was a bit of a travel. But none of that mattered cause we were welcomed by a few missionaries and then met our mission president and his wife. It was super awesome and they're some of the nicest people ever.  We got all our stuff put away and checked into our hotel, to keep us all awake for the remainder of the day we went sight seeing! This included going to Castell de Montuïc and getting an awesome view of the city and not only seeing the Sagrada Familia, but being able to go inside and get a tour as well. I took pictures so you all could see as well :) The next morning we had lunch with the Mission president and we got to meet our new Companions!! My comp is awesome, ...

Que pasa mi familia y amigos! Como estan?  This week was pretty amazing and went by pretty dang fast so I'll try to remember all that happened. Okay, so right after I sent my last email I went to the gym with Elder Dixon and he smashed the mile record here at the MTC so that was pretty sick. I was able to go outside the MTC twice this week so that was pretty amazing and cool (Hence the name for this email). The first time we went to triple A to get Elder Dixon his international driving permit, the second time was even better because I got to ride public transport to get to UVU and obtain my Spain Visa. The Spain representative was super cool and he got all of us super excited to go to Spain. He emphasized how good the food is and that made me super excited and I cannot wait. We also started this thing here in the MTC called SYL (speak your language). It basically means that since it's our last week here we're only allowed to speak in Spanish. It's been a little tough bu...
