Week 4! (Stayin busy)

Image
Hola mis amigos! It's already been another week! That's insane to me!  Okay, for this email I'm gonna give you a quick rundown of what life is like over here. We all wake up at 6:30 and then get ready for the day. We head to breakfast around 7:15 and then have class from 8:30-11:30. We head straight to lunch and then after we fill the time with workshops, teaching appointments, language study, personal study, companionship study, and working out. I get to run every day with Elder Dixon and I actually think I've gotten to be a better distance runner since I've been here so that's pretty sweet! But after we fill our time we head to dinner and then straight to our evening class from 6-9. By the time we get back to the dorms we're usually pretty exhausted and get ready for bed, write in our journals, say our prayers and then lights are out before 10:30. I've been learning so much while I've been here, learning a language is a challenging aspect for sure ...

Week 3 (First Week Away From Home)

Hola amigos y bienvenidos to my weekly report :)   This week has been SO amazing. It's truly been one of the most spiritual and cool weeks I've ever had. This week I had to say goodbye to my family and it was so hard, but it was a lot easier knowing that I'd be able to call them weekly. ALSOOOO I finally got to meet my district and companion in person and believe it or not but they're even better and more fun in person!  Coming into the MTC I was a little nervous about the schedule and the full immersion spanish we would have in all of our classes. Thankfully, it's been pretty fun and I've been able to learn a lot. The teachers are amazing and help us all out so we understand what they're saying. Also, we get to create our own schedules and appointments AND we have an hour of workout time a day. That has been a huge blessing, I've been able to run every day with Elder Dixon and play basketball and soccer right after, it's been awesome. While working ...

Week 1&2 (Home MTC)

Hello everyone!!  I started the home MTC (missionary training center) on June 27th and it's been awesome! The daily scripture study, lessons, and language study have been super cool to do and very rewarding. Of course it's a lot of work, I have a minimum of 7 hours of zoom classes I need to attend and then personal study on top of all of that makes it so I have a busy schedule. However, even in just the short little bit I've been a missionary I've already seen the Lord's hand in my life more times than I can count. Thankfully, the 7 hours of zooms don't seem too long because my district is amazing! I can't wait until I get to actually meet all of them in person tomorrow! Now that we're officially 3 weeks into the MTC we're going to be meeting in Provo and be fully immersed in Spanish, needless to say, I'm very excited and just a little nervous. :)  One of my favorite things about the MTC so far is how much they emphasize leaning on the Lord for s...
